Nigeria: Man Charged With Trespass, Mischief

An Abuja magistrate court Wednesday arraigned a middle aged-man for allegedly injuring one Ayodele Akinjokin. The accused, Chineye Umedi of opposite Gbazago police station was arraigned on a three-count charge of trespass, mischief and causing grievous hurt, offences punishable under sections 348, 327 and 343 of the Penal Code Law.

The prosecutor, Adamu Abdullahi, informed the court that on June 9, one Ayodele petitioned the commissioner of police, FCT command, that sometime in November 2009, the accused broke into his apartment at No 17 Presidency road Kubwa and engaged him in a fight.
