Nigeria: Muazu Has Case to Answer -EFCC

Abuja — Even as the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) has kept quiet on its next line of action concerning the 23 ex-governors which it promised to prosecute for alleged corruption, its sister agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) yesterday insisted that it has not cleared former governor of Bauchi state, Adamu Muazu of the corruption charges leveled against him.

According to a statement from spokesperson for the EFCC, Mr. Femi Babafemi, the rumour making rounds that the former Bauchi state chief executive has been let off the hook after the commission's investigation found him not culpable in the charges was far from the truth.
