Cape Town — Parliamentary researchers have sharply questioned the performance achievements claimed by the South African Police Service in its annual report, saying the targets used to measure performance were out of date.
Parliament's research section said the baselines used as a measurement in the 2009-10 annual report were not from performance in 2008-09 but from previous years, such as 2007-08. Their analysis forms part of a preparatory workshop on the police annual report.
