Nigeria: Stakeholders Blame Insecurity in South East on Bad Leadership

Lagos — STAKEHOLDERS at the 1st Annual South East Security and Economic Summit have attributed the high level of insecurity and other socio-economic problems bedeviling the region to lack of purposeful and visionary leadership on the part of the new crop of politicians at the helm of affairs.

Chairman of the event and one of the conveners of the summit Prof. Anya .O. Anya canvassed power shift to the younger generation to pilot the affairs of the nation if the region and Nigeria as a whole most participate in the global competitiveness of the 21st century.
