Nigeria: Bomb Blasts - Representatives Call for Judicial Inquiry

Lagos — As investigations into the bomb blasts that rocked Abuja on October 1 continue, the House of Representatives, yesterday called for a judicial commission of inquiry as the best option to unravel those behind the blast.

Adopting a motion sponsored by the House Leader, Hon. Tunde Akogun, on the twin blasts which claimed many lives, members who resumed plenary after two months of legislative recess also appealed to the federal government to, among other deserving compensations, offer scholarships to the children of the victims.
