Nigeria: Lagos State Governor Pleads With Doctors to End Strike

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has called on the leadership of the striking resident doctors in the state to call off their ongoing strike in order to allow the resumption of negotiations with the State Government.

Fashola, who spoke at a stakeholders forum he had with Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ) at the City Hall in Lagos, added that he is saddened that the issue of the doctors had gotten to the stage it is now, adding that the issues that stand between the state government and the doctors can be resolved amicably.
