Nigeria: Boki Communal Clash - Boje Chiefs Arrested, Certificates Withdrawn

Calabar — Three days after the communal clash between the Nsadop and Boje communities in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State broke out in which over 50 lives were wasted and properties estimated at billions of Naira destroyed, the governor of the state, Senator Liyel Imoke has ordered the immediate arrest and detention of the chiefs of Boje.

In the same vein, Senator Imoke ordered withdrawal of certificates of recognitions as village/clan heads. This, according to him, followed the killing and destruction of lives and property in Nsadop by Boje community.
