Nigeria: It is a Matter of Honour

When I wrote the article "Inspired by the Devil" three weeks ago on this page, I got 96 responses; and, for last week's article entitled "President Jonathan-Obasanjo", there were over 100 text messages, clearly showing that many people have been reading and taking positions on these opinions. It is not in my habit to respond to comments on any opinion I express on this page. But I am very grateful for all the prayers, encouragement and occasional criticisms I receive from you, my dear readers. I can assure you that this column will continue to be guided by higher ideals at all times because it is a matter of honour.

For some reasons, one of my regular readers has taken serious offence at some of my comments on President Jonathan's administrative style. But let me refer back to most of my comments on the late President Yar'Adua, since the article I wrote declaring that "The Honeymoon Is Over", to prove that regardless of who is in power and from whatever section of our beloved country, we shall continue to point out his or her mistakes because we will all suffer from them directly or indirectly. This, for us, is a matter of honour.
