Nigeria: NSF Commends Sports Minister

Abuja — Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF), has commended the Minister of sports and chairman national Sports Commission (NSC), Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Bio, for showing appreciation to the Nigeria Scrabble team for winning African Scrabble Championship for the eight time.

Nigeria maintained her supremacy in African Scrabble by retaining the African Scrabble trophy on Sunday in Accra, Ghana, after 30 games and 4 days of scrabble board tussle. Defending champion Wellington Jighere, retained his continental crown to become the second man in the history of the game to win the title back to back. Jighere recorded 21 wins with 1800 cumulative points to achieve the feat.
