Nigeria: CCNN Installs Equipment to Curb Dust Emission

Sokoto — The Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) has installed a N600 million filter to curb dust emission, the company's Chief Production Engineer, Engr. Ahmed Idris has said.

Idris, who disclosed this yesterday during a tour of the facility, said the filter took about six months to instal and that henceforth, there would be zero-emission of dust from the company. He said the former filter got burnt in 2008, and that they had been experiencing problems associated with dust emission since then.
