Nigeria: Rise in Commodities' Prices During Festivities, Bad Omen -Cleric

An Abuja-based Islamic cleric, Abdur-Rauf Babalola, yesterday spoke against the deliberate increase in the prices of commodities during major festivities like Eld-el-Adha and Eld-el-Fitr by traders and service providers.

Speaking on "Lessons from Eld-el-Adha" during the monthly public lecture of the Organisation of Thadamumunl Muslimeen (OTM), the cleric described the usual phenomenon as a bad omen.
