Liberia: UP Decides

Fresh from its County primaries that saw several of its leading executives rejected for party leaderships in the Counties, the ruling Unity Party will convene on Saturday, at the SKD Stadium, to elect its candidates for president and vice president in the midst of overt and secret lobbying for the number 2 on the ticket, the president's running mate.

There have been speculations that the president, assured of winning the party's nomination, is looking at several options. Stories in newspapers of likely running mates have been flaring but the President and the party have remained silent.
