Nigeria: ANPP Opposes Fresh Loan by FG

The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has advised the federal government to immediately suspend its planned burrowing of $500 million as the nation's domestic and external debts have been on the steady rise in the last few months, which is a cause for worry given the negative effects of the debt overhang on the economy of Nigeria.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Emma Eneukwu, said in Abuja that strengthening the manufacturing sector to increase their production capacity is one of the ways the government can reduce inflation and create jobs and not through further subjecting the nation to loan enslavement.
