Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete has been declared the winner of the country's election on Friday. He took over 61 per cent of the votes.
His closest rival Wilbrod Slaa of the Chadema party won close to 26 per cent and Ibrahim Lipumba of the Civic United Front came third with close to 8 per cent.
