Liberia: United by Handcuffs for Prison

Jettee Karakue, while being remanded pending trial along with three other persons charged at the Monrovia City with theft of property valued at US500, last Friday fainted and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The exact cause of the medical condition was not known, but court officers said Jettee Karakue fainted immediately as they left the courtroom en route to the Monrovia central prison.
