Liberia: Blows and Hot-Exchange - Pro-Media Protesters, Court Security, In Tussle

A group of protesters that stormed the Temple of Justice Tuesday to demonstrate against the current contempt charges hanging over Frontpage Africa newspaper Editor Rodney Sieh was ordered out of the premises, with Chief Justice Johnnie N. Lewis telling them the Temple of Justice was not for politicking.

But the placards-carrying and chanting group remained adamant, contending that they were there to defend press freedom and what they claim was a return to the old era of muzzling the media when free speech was suppressed.
