Uganda: UPDF, Prisons in Tight Race for Honours

Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) and Prisons are in a two-horse race for overall honours as the Inter Forces Games come to a climax at Namboole today.

UPDF come into the final day of action with a two-point advantage over Prisons but must win at least two events to retain the overall trophy.

They face Prisons in netball and both men and women's handball finals. Prior to yesterday, UPDF had a five-point lead but their loss to Police in the men's football semifinals left them in trouble of surrendering the trophy to Prisons.

Police, who are out of contention for the overall trophy spoilt UPDF's party with Sula Lwanga scoring on 62 minutes to decide the soccer encounter.
