NAMIBIA is on high alert following a deadly outbreak of polio in Congo Brazzaville and Angola. Dr Jack Vries, chairperson of the National Health Emergency Management Committee, said the ministry was aware of the situation and doing active surveillance.
Health experts have warned that Namibia and South Africa need to keep a close eye on the situation, as it is feared that the disease may spread.
