Uganda: Nation's Flower Sector Recovering

Kampala, Uganda — The future of the floriculture industry in Uganda looks promising once again after enduring trying times.

The hard times begun with the credit crunch which affected Uganda's flower exports by almost 50%, industry players say. This led to the closure of some flower farms in Uganda, employees in most of the farms were laid off and those who remained had to endure salary cuts.
