The enactment of legislation to harness all the available sources of energy in the country is long overdue. This is so important, considering the challenge of the national shortfall of 1,000MW of electricity.
According to experts, if Tanzania hopes to realise its Vision 2025, it must produce an additional 15,000MW. There is plenty of work to do to cover the current 1,000MW shortfall and get to 15,000MW mark. This is a tall order, hence the need to initiate strict measures to ensure that the goal is met.
