Nairobi — The banking sector in Kenya is enjoying an exceptional year of profitability as results released so far indicate. But the results are not commensurate with economic growth.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed what he described as government concerns about this disconnect saying it is not in tune with availability of affordable credit especially to the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and the farming community.
