Nigeria: Free-for-All As Atiku Visits Adamawa PDP Secretariat

Yola — Suspected party thugs in their hundreds almost marred the visit of the Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to the premises of Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, secretariat as they engaged each other in a free-for-all fight at the weekend.

Atiku had driven to the secretariat in a long convoy of his supporters singing and chanting his praises. The situation, however, degenerated when another group, led by the state PDP youth leader, Adamu Bakari, began chanting the praises of the state governor.
