Nigeria: CNS Charges Navy on Constitutional Responsibilities

Sapele — THE Chief of Navy Staff, Vice Admiral Ola Sa'ad Ibrahim, has charged the Navy to remain committed to meeting its constitutional responsibilities of keeping the country's waters safe and secured despite the enormous challenges it is facing currently.

Admiral Ibrahim gave the charge in Sapele, Delta State, during a two-day Naval Engineering conference, weekend. The CNS said that the conference was important because of the daunting task of reviving and upgrading the level of fleet readiness in the midst of resource limitations and growing threat to national economic activities in the maritime sector.
