The saying that we owe our existence to the quality and quantity of water at our disposal is simply stating the obvious. This indispensable commodity has a wide range of purpose. In certain industries, this all-important liquid is raw material for the production of certain commodities. In agriculture, crop productivity depends heavily on optimum supply of water, whether naturally through precipitation, or through irrigation practices. Our body mechanism cannot function independently of this very important substance. Indeed, in the absence of water all organisms will cease to exist.
