Nigeria: Ondo Tasks Nurses, Midwives on Healthcare Delivery

Akure — Nurses and midwives in the service of local government councils' health facilities across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State have been urged to complement ongoing efforts of the Olusegun Mimiko-led administration in the state to improve healthcare delivery services to the people, especially those living in the rural areas.

Specifically, the health workers were enjoined to pay more attention and focus on health issues and concepts including ante-natal care, pantographs, basic and comprehensive emergency, obstetric, neonatal care services, obstetric fistula, emergency contraception and maternal mortality rate and ratio.
