Nigeria: Women Protest Over Gay Church in Umunze

Awka — Women in Umunze, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State last week protested alleged existence of a gay Church in the area.

The women chanting war songs marched through villages in Umunze and particularly Lomu , location of the alleged gay church carrying leaves, sticks and palm fronds.

The leader of the protesting women, Madam Agnes Mgboyibo said women in the community were against the activities of the church as according to her , the church is satanic and not from God.

Mgboyibo who spoke to newsmen said the activities of the church encouraged prostitution and pornography threatening that they (women) would sack the church from the town.
