Nigeria: Stock Exchange Gets Go-Ahead to Increase Trading Hours

Lagos — The Capital Market Monitoring Committee (CMC) yesterday approved the recommendations for an increase in the number of trading hours from 9.30am to 14.30pm on the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The Interim President/Council Chairman of The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Mallam Ballama Manu had at the 49 Annual General Meeting of the exchange said that there were ongoing consultations with stakeholders on the possibility of extending the trading hours by two hours daily from 9.30am to 2.30pm from the current trading time of 9.30am to 12.30pm.
