Nigeria: One Killed in Rival Political Camps' Clash in Keffi

Lafia — A clash between two rival political camps, Sunday, led to the death of a youth in Keffi, Nasarawa State. Our correspondent gathered that one of the camps is loyal to a state lawmaker, Tahir Alayi, while the other camp, is loyal to a Senatorial aspirant of Nasarawa-West Senatorial District, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi.

He further reports that the clash took place outside the office of the Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma Campaign Organization in the area, while the office was being commissioned by the governor.

Witnesses said the youth, who was stabbed several times, died on his way to the hospital.

There was no confirmation from the police in Nasarawa State because the command's spokesman, ASP Richard Akoji did not pick calls made to him; neither did he reply a message sent to him for comments.
