Freetown — In a bid to empower women especially in the northern part of the country, the Centre for Development and Peace Education (CDPEACE) has succeeded in training some 50 women in Paki-Masabong and Gbonkolenken chiefdoms respectively in the production of jam.
Canadian-born jam specialist and tutor, Jackie Race told Concord Times that a survey conducted by the organization revealed that rural women were the most active in agricultural productivity but were also the most vulnerable.
