Nigeria: DDC Machines - Minister Orders Overhaul of Airport Security

Lagos — Security is to be overhauled at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos following the theft on December 7 of 20 Direct Data Capture (DDC) machines belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Aviation Minister Fidelia Njeze plans to reorganise the Aviation Security (AVSEC) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on the directive of President Goodluck Jonathan, who summoned her for a meeting on December 9 alongside FAAN Managing Director, Richard Aisuebeogun.
