Lagos — National Emergency Management Agency has confirmed that the 2010 flood has brought the number of people displaced in Nigeria to 258,044 while about 1,555 lives were lost to cholera epidemic due to contamination of drinking water as result of the flooding.
Director General of the agency, Mohammed Sani-Sidi, made this known on Tuesday during a meeting with a delegation of World Bank from Washington, which is in the country to assess flood damages in the country.
