Nairobi — That Kenya is back in the good books of the Global Fund in the fight against HIV, Malaria, and Tuberculosis with a hefty grant of about Sh38 billion is very good news.
Last year, the country was denied about Sh22 billion, an outcome that slowed down the anti-retroviral coverage. This was not the first time the country has been denied funding by the organisation for poor performance and lack of accountability, and there is no indication that this won't happen again.
