Nigeria: Again South West Endorses Jonathan

Ibadan — The wave of endorsement shifted to the South-west as the presidency temporarily relocated to Ibadan, the political capital of the South West yesterday as the duo of President Goodluck Jonathan and his vice, Namadi Sambo whose quest for delegates of the ruling party in the zone paid off.

However, the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party, Olusegun Obasanjo and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole were absent. Also absent were the Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin, the chairman of the House committee on Appropriation, Ayo Adeseun and some federal lawmakers who are automatic delegates but who have been in running battle with the Oyo state governor, Adebayo Alao-Akala for control of the party.
