Nigeria: 2011 Polls - North West Delegates Endorse Jonathan

Kaduna — A head of the 2011 general elections, the North-West Zone Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors and delegates, comprising 844 delegates from Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto, Jigawa, Katsina and Kano led by the former Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso unanimously endorsed President Jonathan and Namadi Sambo for the 2011 Polls.

Moving the motion for the endorsement, Senator Sahabi Ya'u Kaura from Zamfara North Senatorial District said President Jonathan and Sambo have done creditably well to deserve another opportunity to move the country forward. The motion was seconded by Honourable Sadautu Sani, from Lere federal constituency of Kaduna state In his address to the governors, delegates and PDP stakeholders from the North-West zone of the country at the zone's headquarters in Kaduna, President Goodluck said he was in the zone first to appreciate the support he has been getting from the zone and also to intimate the delegates that he is in the race for the 2011 general elections and solicited their usual support to enable him move the country forward.
