Kenya: Exportation Authority Seeks More Local Market Space

Nairobi — The need to balance growth between local industries as well as those operating in the export processing zones has left the government in a tight corner.

Whereas the Export Processing Zones Authority wants the threshold of goods produced in the zones and sold in local market increased from 20 per cent to 70 per cent, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers sees it differently.
