Nigeria: Muslim Youths Allege Silent Killings in Jos

Jos — The Plateau State chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO) yesterday complained over reported silent killings and missing persons in some parts of Jos, saying security agencies need to check the reports.

Addressing newsmen in Jos yesterday, the state coordinator of NACOMYO, Malam Sani Suleiman, called on the federal and state governments to improve the security apparatus, saying the situation needs to be checked to ensure security of lives and property in the state.

But the STF spokesperson, Captain Charles Ekeocha, said the security outfit was doing its best to ensure peace in the state, adding that there was the need for people to inform them of where such killings are taking place. The Muslim group further expressed displeasure over the call by the youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Plateau State on the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar to apologize to the people of Plateau State over a comment credited to him.

The youth wing of CAN (YOWICAN) had earlier called on the sultan to apologize to the people of the state for blaming the leadership of the federal and state governments for not taking proactive measures over the bomb blasts in Jos. According to Malam Suleiman, not only the sultan, but several leaders have frowned at the failure of leadership.

"No good spirited person will deny the central role that leadership is supposed to play in mobilizing the populace for genuine reconciliation, healing and peaceful coexistence as witnessed in Kaduna, Niger, and recently in Wukari, Taraba State", he said.

    Forfaka:

Muslims kill and get killed in order to go to heaven. But since the authorities of this country lack the means of stopping muslims killing innocent Christians, the government should call for a referendum.Through a referendum today the Christians of South Sudan will separate from the murderous muslim mongrels of North Sudan.Good for them! In this country we have had a war caused by muslim's slaughter of thousands of innocent and hapless Igbo children, men and women. The Christians of this country have borne the imposition of islam with fortitude. For the sake of keeping Nigeria one we Christians have allowed members of this tin pot religion of peace rub their sharia in our faces. But these attempts by the Hausa-Fulani muslims to cleanse the Beroms and other ethnic Christian minorities from their ancesrtal land through murder call for an intervention of the international community. We Christian Nigerians can no longer condone these wanton destruct- ions of innocent lives. Therefore like Sudan,Nigeria should have a referendum in the South whereby we can separate from the Hausa- Fullani muslim murderes of the North without further bloodshed. It is about time we listen to the rational advice of Muammar AL Gaddafi of Libya.See(www.anglicandioceseofjos.org/dogo.html)
