Algeria: Two Killed in Clashes Over Rising Food Prices

Two men have been killed in the recent wave of violence over unemployment and the rising cost of food in Algeria, according to national media. Youths have clashes with riot police in Algiers and several other towns including Annaba, Oran, Bouira and Bejaia.

An 18-year-old man died after he was shot in M'Sila region southeast of the capital, Algiers, while a 32-year-old man was hit in the face by a tear gas canister.
