Nigeria: Amaechi Picks Rivers Governorship Ticket

Port-Harcourt — GOVERNOR Chibuike Amaechi yesterday won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election primary in Rivers State and apologised to aggrieved party members to forget the past and join in the development of the state.

Amaechi polled a total of 1,139 votes to beat three other aspirants, including former governor Sir Celestine Omehia who had no vote in his favour.
