Gambia: Two Farafenni Ferries Unoperational

As part of his assignment to monitor and report on issues affecting the lives of people in the rural Gambia, this reporter visited the Bamba Tenda -Yeli Tenda ferry crossing on Thursday 6th January 2011 to give focus to the situation there, considering the importance of communication in the livelihood or economic wellbeing of the people.

Drivers at the Bamba Tenda-Yeli Tenda ferry crossing are complaining about the delays being experienced at the ferry crossing due to the fact that two of the ferries namely James Island and Farafenni ferries are un-operational.
