Angola: Moçâmedes Railways Company to Buy New Locomotives in China

Lubango — The Moçâmedes Railways Company (CFM) will buy nine new locomotives and 54 carriage in China, until December 2011.

This was said to Angop on Wednesday by the CEO of Moçamedes Railways Company, Daniel Quipaxe.

The purchase of these locomotives is part of the rehabilitation and modernisation process of CFM which is expected to be operational as from December this year.

Daniel Quipaxe said that the investment is estimated at USD 200 millions.

The construction works of this infrastructure will be concluded in December in 2011.
