East Africa: EAC Sets Single Currency Negotiations for March

Negotiations for the Monetary Union Protocol - a fourth stage of the East Africa Community, have been scheduled to start in March in Bujumbura Burundi.

In a communication issued to Daily Monitor, the High Level Task Force has been given an 18-month timeframe by the EAC Council of Ministers within which to conclude a draft Protocol.
