Nigeria: Abia - Doctors Give One Week Ultimatum Over Pay Rise

MEDICAL doctors in Abia state have given the state government one week ultimatum to ensure hundred percent unconditional implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), for all medical doctors in the state or they will down tools which they said would be mother of all strikes as no medical doctor including those in private and Federal Government employs would be allowed to attend to patients.

This was the outcome of the consultative meeting between Medical Elders and all medical doctors in health institutions in the state, facilitated by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Abia state chapter.
