Nigeria: PHCN Cable Cut Shuts Down Lagos Airport

Lagos — A massive cut in PHCN cable yesterday paralyzed activities at the Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 Lagos. Daily Trust learnt there was abrupt power cut at 3:00am yesterday and was yet to be restored at the time of filing this report.

Passengers at the airport departure lounge resorted to self help by fanning themselves when the heat became unbearable as the giant air conditioners were out of work. An official of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said the authority was going to shut down the generator temporarily by 1.30 pm and to be powered on by 4pm.
