Nigeria: Sultan, Oritsejiafor Task Govt On Jos, Maiduguri Crises

Ibadan — Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar who doubles as the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Ayo Oritsejiafor have tasked the Federal Government to do everything possible to arrest the perpetrators of the socio-religious violence rocking Jos and Maiduguri.

They made the call in Ibadan yesterday while addressing the quarterly meeting of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) being hosted in the South West zone by the Oyo State government. In attendance at the meeting which was graced by stakeholders from all parts of the federation were religious leaders, traditional rulers and leaders of thought.
