Gambia: Wasda Gives to Flood Victims

Urr — The Wuli and Sandu Development Agency (WASDA), in collaboration with Concern Universal, last Friday donated sanitary items to 95 flood victims at a presentation ceremony held at the WASDA Centre in Wuli East, Upper River Region (URR). The items included buckets, soaps, among others.

Presenting the items, Kebba M. Sillah, director of WASDA, said that the aim of the donation is to assist the flood victims, whom the items will help to improve their sanitary condition and advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the items.

Wuday Jawneh, a beneficiary from Barrow Kunda, Wuli West District, expressed thanks and gratitude to WASDA for the donation, and described it as timely and very important. According to her, the donation will help them to improve sanitation in their area.

Lamin Ceesay, a native of Kuraw Village in Sandu, who also benefited from the gesture, joined previous speakers to commend WASDA for the development. He described WASDA as true partners in national development and disclosed that since the inception of WASDA, the people of Wuli and Sandu have witnessed many life-changing developments.
