Nigeria: Super Eagles Tackle Flying Eagles

Nigeria's senior men's football team, the Super Eagles will trade tackles with the country's U-20 side, the Flying Eagles in a friendly at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Abuja on Thursday morning.

The Super Eagles are putting finishing touches to their preparations for the Green Bowl Soccer Tournament taking place in the United States of America between February 12-20, while the Flying Eagles, are steadily getting set for this year's African Youth Championship taking place in Libya from March 18 to April 1st.

Both teams have sized each other up twice within the past fortnight, with the first ending in a 2-2 draw and the senior team edging the second 2-1 at the FIFA Technical Centre, Abuja.

However, there is an additional twist and different texture to Thursday's clash as the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) will be using the encounter to assess its newly -acquired Outside Broadcast Equipment.

Head Coach Samson Siasia will also have the opportunity of trimming his squad to the proposed number of 22 that will travel for the Green Bowl Soccer Tournament next weekend.
