Nigeria: Worker's Name Appears 33 Times On Pay Roll As Niger Chases Ghost Workers

Minna — The name of a civil servant in Niger State, Abubakar Mohammed, appeared 33 times on the state's monthly pay roll as the e-payment adopted by the government has paid off in its quest to authenticate genuine workers.

This is as the recent screening also revealed that there are about 2, 000 ghost workers out of 34, 000 it pays every month.
