East Africa: EAC Urged to Walk the Integration Talk

Kampala/Nairobi — A senior official at the East African Community secretariat has urged member states to fully implement the common market protocol so as to benefit ordinary citizens and traders.

Mr Alloys Mutabingwa, the East African Community deputy secretary general for planning and infrastructure said the guiding principle in working out the remaining parts of the EAC integration was to fully align and adapt partner states' national laws and regulatory frameworks to the Common Market protocol provisions.
