Nigeria: Buhari's Integrity at Stake in CPC - Sha'aban

Abuja — Recently, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Sha'aban, an ally of General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), left the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) to join the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) where he became the latter's governorship candidate in Kaduna State for the April 2011 governoship poll. In this interview with a select group of journalists, he tries to explain why he left CPC despite his relationship with Buhari. Sunday Isuwa was there for LEADERSHIP: Excerpts:

You are well known as a bonafide member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Kaduna state. In 2007, you became the party's governorship candidate. But recently, you followed General Muhammadu Buhari who left the party to join CPC. Again, you left CPC for AC. What actually happened?
