Nigeria: Akiolu Tasks NDLEA on Drug Barons

Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu I, has charged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to carry out more raid operations within the state in order to fish out hard drugs traffickers and barons.

Receiving the new Lagos State Commander of the agency, Mr Mohammed Jibrin, who was on an advocacy visit to his palace, the Oba charged the agency to arrest and prosecute any person found to have committed drug-related offences, noting that the only way Nigeria can be a decent society where people can live in peacefully was to arrest and prosecute erring people.
